Making a Baby Book for Twins
A baby book for your twin babies will be a
special reminder of precious memories for years to come. They
say that twins are a "double bundle of joy," so you will have
double the fond memories of their early life you will want to
remember and share with family and friends--a baby book is
perfect for this, and will give you hours to create
Pregnancy is joyful time in a woman's life, and when there
are two "buns in the oven" the joy and expectation are only
increased. Twin pregnancy usually is found where there is a
family history of twins, but more and more these days, there
are increasing numbers of twin births without a prior family
history of twins. Why the sudden increase in "double bubbles?"
Doctors say the fact that women are delaying pregnancy much
later is causing the rise in twins. In vitro fertilization is
also a factor, though it is not known exactly how much of an
effect this is having on the rising rate of twins. Whatever the
exact causes, it is clear that more mothers are giving birth to
twins and triplets and even quadruplets than ever before in
recorded history
Upon realizing they are carrying twins, some mothers begin
to stress over the added time and money involved in raises two
children. Let's face it; saving for one child's college
education is a lot easier than saving for two! But a twin birth
also brings great joy, and the proud parents can rest assured
that their new baby will have a playmate from the word "go."
And besides, once you get into the swing of things, raising
twins is not so different from raising a single child. Parents
tend to figure out ways of economizing both their time and
money with twins--wherever there's a will, there's a way!
Preserving the memories of twin newborns does require added
effort though, as there will need to be twice as many
photographs and keepsakes. It will help the process to have an
organized twin baby book to store all these precious memories
as you go.
Creating a baby book for your twins is
easy, and it can be as simple or elaborate as you choose,
depending on how much time and resources you can put into it.
The main focus of your book will be pictures of the twins. And
because there will be twice as many of these, it is a good idea
to go for a larger book or album to start with. In fact, you
are better off opting for an extra large size and having too
much space, than going too small and winding up with not
enough.
Besides your precious photos, there are lots of other items
that can be included in you baby book. Locks of hair or the
twins' hospital bracelets, for example, can easily be glued or
otherwise secured into the book. A good tip is to include these
items next to pictures that are relevant to them. One example
would be to include hospital bracelets on the page opposite of
photos of the twins as infants in the hospital.
So don't worry if the stork brings you twins. With a little
planning you can easily arrange a beautiful twin baby book to
preserve all those memories from your newborn twins' early
life.
